FRANKLIN, WI – The Milwaukee Milkmen rallied to defeat the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 10-2 Sunday afternoon.
The Milkmen got on the board in the bottom of the first when Brett Vertigan scored on a double play ball to take a 1-0 lead.
The ‘Hawks took the lead in the top of the third inning on a Drew Ward 2-run home run making it 2-1 RedHawks.
After a rain delay Milwaukee tied things up at 2-2 on a Jose Sermo RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning plated Zach Nehrir. A controversial play at the plate allowed Sermo to score on a Dylan Tice RBI single. David Washington added to the lead with an 2 RBI single to make it 5-2 Milwaukee.
The Milkmen added to their lead in the bottom of the seventh inning when an Adam Brett Walker double plated Sermo making it 6-2.
Milwaukee added 4 runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to get the 10-2 win.
The RedHawks are back in action with the St. Paul Saints Tuesday night, pregame at 6:45 p.m. first pitch 7:05 p.m. on 740 The Fan and 107.3FM.
