MOORHEAD, MN (KVRR) – Employees for the City of Moorhead are starting to get situated in a brand-new – yet familiar – environment.
Today, October 19, marked the first time in over two years that Moorhead City Hall offices operated out of City Hall.
Much of city business had been conducted at the FM Center while renovations took place at City Hall.
The public was encouraged to drop by 475 Red River Avenue if they had any questions or needed to conduct any city business.
Employees said that moving into the refurbished space was an exhilarating experience.
“It feels fantastic, especially for our department in Facilities. This building was definitely ready for a renovation,” said Anthony Manzella.
“What we’re standing in right now is the old corridor for what used to be the mall, so now you’ve got a completely different look to this building,” he added.
Moorhead Public Service – water and electric utilities – will move back to City Hall in November.
City Council meetings will also continue to be held at the Hjemkomst Center until the River Room at City Hall is ready for that transition.
