After giving up an opening drive field goal to trail 3-0, Concordia drove down to score a touchdown with quarterback Jax Mattern throwing a 27 yard touchdown pass to Jed Klang on the Cobber’s first offensive drive to take a 7-3 lead on St. John’s at Collegeville, MN. In what turned out to be a back and forth affair, Moorhead native Trey Feeney bounced back after an early interception to rally St. John’s with two touchdown passes, one late in the third quarter and another in the fourth, followed up by a late touchdown drive to seal the victory for the NCAA DIII #2 ranked Johnnies with a final score of 33-23 and to go 5-0 in MIAC play, and 6-0 overall. The Cobbers fall to 4-1 in conference play and 5-1 overall.
