BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – A new state department opens in North Dakota: the Office of Guardianship and Conservatorship.
Executive Director Rachel Sinnes says its goal is to ensure people under guardianship and conservatorship and those who support them have clear and dependable information.
The department’s website has information on the agency’s services and responsibilities as well as guardianship and conservatorship ethics, best practices, funding and resources.
“We are grateful to ND Protection & Advocacy, Vulnerable Adult Protective Services, Supreme Court administration and Human Resource Management Services for helping us build an agency that reflects our commitment to transparency, independence and compassionate service,” Sinness said.
The office was created by a bill signed into law by Governor Kelly Armstrong last year.
