ADA, Minn. (KFGO) – One person was killed in a rollover crash in Norman County Thursday.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened at 3:40 a.m. on Highway 75 near mile marker 276. The crash report says two men were traveling north in a car when they lost control and rolled into the ditch.
Bain Elhard, 19, of Halstad was killed in the crash. The State Patrol says Elhard was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the car, Jacob Smagala, 23, of Plainfield suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash. Troopers say he was wearing a seatbelt. Smagala was taken to Ada hospital to be treated for his injuries. The State Patrol is investigating if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
