BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – A Fargo woman is facing prostitution charges after she was arrested in Bismarck Wednesday night.
Court documents say Bismarck Police responded to an advertisement on a website known for commercial sex work. The post contained sexual images, advertised a ‘rare experience’ with a couple and included a phone number.
Bismarck Police texted the number on the ad and arranged to meet the couple at the Bismarck Hotel and Conference center. The officer had arranged for one hour of sex in exchange for $260.
Police were waiting at the hotel when Martina Shelton and Gary Klang arrived. They were both arrested for prostitution. Shelton reportedly told Klang not to tell police anything as she was being placed in the back of a squad car, and denied any involvement in the situation.
Klang was in possession of a phone that rang when police called the number listed on the sex advertisement. He said the phone belonged to Shelton.
Police say Shelton could also face a felony charge of facilitating prostitution. She is currently in the Burleigh-Morton detention center.
