FARGO (KFGO) – A 39-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning following a 45-minute standoff with police at a Fargo residence.
Timothy Lowseth, who has no permanent address, was booked into the Cass County Jail on charges of terrorizing and preventing arrest.
Fargo police officers responded at approximately 8:28 a.m. to the 100 block of 15th Street South following reports of a disturbance and a wanted individual. Officers determined that Lowseth had assaulted someone inside the home and was causing a disturbance.
According to police, Lowseth remained inside the residence, refused lawful orders to exit, and threatened to harm officers if they attempted to enter.
Officers established a perimeter around the building and communicated with Lowseth to de-escalate the situation. Lowseth exited the residence around 9:17 a.m. and was taken into custody without further incident.
In addition to Tuesday’s charges, Lowseth was arrested on an active warrant in connection with a July 30 property damage incident in neighboring Moorhead.
