COURTENAY, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified those involved in a deadly head-on crash in Stutsman County Friday night.
The Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 10:15 p.m. when Devin Moritz, 23, of McHenry was driving northbound on state highway 20 at high speeds. The crash report says Moritz’ pick-up crossed the center-line and hit a southbound pickup driven by Wyatt Ellingson, 54, of Edgeley.
The drivers of both pickups were killed in the crash. Carrie Ellingson, 52, of Edgeley was a passenger in the southbound pickup and suffered serious injuries, she was taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
The highway patrol says neither driver was wearing a seatbelt, the passenger was wearing her seatbelt. The Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
