It has been six months since Renee Good and Alex Pretti were murdered by Border Patrol and ICE thugs, and shamefully there have been no charges filed against the killers.
How is it that the Justice Department can charge 15 people for impeding the actions of ICE officers in Minnesota, but can’t charge ICE officers with murder?

The murderers should have been arrested and charged within a few days of the deaths of protesters Good and Pretti. The evidence of these unjustified murders is overwhelming. It’s right there on numerous videos.
Good was clearly driving away from the scene and Pretti was attempting to aid a fellow protester. They did nothing wrong or illegal. Moreover, they were not looking to hurt anyone.
Also, federal policies prohibit standing in front of a vehicle and shooting at a moving vehicle, and state that deadly force can only be used when the suspect “poses an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury to the officer or to another person.” Obviously, those policies were violated in this case, but that means nothing.
Unfortunately, the federal government and local members of Congress, such as North Dakota Senator John Hoeven and Minnesota Representative Michelle Fischbach, have lied about these cases from the beginning.
Good was accused of committing a targeted assault and attempting to run over a law enforcement officer with a weaponized vehicle, while the officers were acting in self-defense. All lies.
Pretti was accused of brandishing a weapon with the intent of killing law enforcement, while ICE agents were firing defensive shots. Again, all lies.
Good was clearly driving away and Pretti was attempting to aid a fellow protester.
Calling Good and Pretti domestic terrorists is insulting and makes their murders even more painful.
The trouble is, the Trump Administration had blocked any significant cooperation with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
That included preventing the BCA from examining Good’s vehicle, the shell casings discharged at the scene of Good’s murder, and the firearm the agent used to kill her. Also, unavailable to the BCA have been the firearm taken from Alex Pretti and Pretti’s cellphone.

Fortunately, there is a glimmer of hope that that things could be changing. Recent news reports state that the Justice Department has now shared some important evidence with the BCA. That includes body camera footage, statements, and Good’s vehicle.
With that evidence in proper hands now, there’s no excuse for failing to file murder charges.
And here we go again. Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, who lived and worked in the Houston area, and was close to obtaining legal status, was shot and killed by ICE goons. Mind you, Araujo wasn’t even an ICE target.
Once again, we’re told that someone, Araujo, ignored commands by officers and was attempting to weaponize his vehicle, so the Ice agents shot him in self-defense. However, passengers inside Araujo’s van say he never rammed into the ICE agents, and the lives of the ICE officers were never in danger.

Moreover, the ICE vehicle was unmarked, and the ICE thugs weren’t wearing body cameras, which was supposed to be required. And of course, the federal government won’t cooperate with local authorities over this murder.
And now there’s yet another inexcusable execution, this time in Maine. ICE agents shot and killed Johan Guerrero, who was authorized to work in the U.S. and was not the target of an investigation.
Once more, with no visual evidence, we’re hearing the phony story from ICE that Guerrero “weaponized his vehicle” and an ICE officer fired his weapon because he “feared for (his) public safety.”
These are the actions of a police state. Unless your life is in jeopardy, you don’t just fire at and execute people on the spot. We’re supposed to have a justice system. When will these travesties of justice ever end?

Derek Chauvin
Good, Pretti, Araujo, and Guerrero should all be alive today.

George Floyd (Facebook)
–Speaking of horrific murders, it’s pathetic and sickening that Minnesota Republicans held a moment of silence for Derek Chauvin at their state convention. Chauvin was the Minneapolis police officer who murdered George Floyd.
We’ve all seen videos of Chauvin with his knee on Floyd’s neck for nine and a half agonizing minutes, preventing Floyd from breathing. The Republicans’ moment of silence sends a horrible message.
