LAS VEGAS – (NDSU Athletics)North Dakota State return specialist Jackson Williams headlines a group of four Bison players selected to the Preseason All-Mountain West football team announced Wednesday, July 15, ahead of the Old Trapper Mountain West Football Media Days.
Williams, a junior from Omaha, Neb., was named the Preseason Special Teams Player of the Year and claimed two spots on the team as the kick returner and punt returner. Williams was a Phil Steele FCS All-America second team punt returner last year. He had 449 kick return yards, the ninth most in school single-season history, and his 348 punt return yards ranked fourth.
NDSU’s other selections to the Preseason All-MW team were junior offensive lineman Griffin Empey, junior defensive tackle Keenan Wilson and senior safety Darius Givance.
Empey, Wilson and Givance are in attendance at media day with NDSU senior quarterback Nathan Hayes and head coach Tim Polasek.
