Travis Bell (Grand Forks County Correctional Center)
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – A fatal crash west of Grand Forks nearly two years ago has resulted a six-year prison sentence for a Fordville, North Dakota man. Travis Bell, 43, has been sentenced in the drunken driving collision that killed six-year-old Katarina Louthain and injured her mother on U.S. Highway 2 and airport road.
Grand Forks County District Court Judge Theodore Sandberg sentenced bell to the maximum penalties allowed under his plea agreement. Bell will be on three years of supervised probation, and spend two years in the 24-7 sobriety program.
Bell had a blood alcohol content level of .13 after the crash. Some evidence was originally suppressed by Sandberg.
