Keeley Jane Ness, 57, passed away peacefully on May 9th, 2026. Born with a heart for people, Keeley spent her life bringing kindness to those around her and cherished every moment spent in the company of her friends and family.
Born on July 23, 1968, to Kenneth and Paulette (Kuehl) Ness, Keeley’s life was never defined by her limitations, but rather by her determination and her infectious giggle. Raised in Pelican Rapids, MN she was a fixture in her hometown before moving to Moorhead, MN
Keeley loved life and was a woman of many passions who brought energy to everything she touched. Whether she was swimming at the lake or competing in the Special Olympics, she was always eager to participate. She was a social butterfly who thrived in the company of others. In her later years, her life was enriched by the friendship of her roommates and the CCRI and ALP caregivers who became like family.
She also found great peace in her quiet time, spending hours working on crafts and writing letters to those she cared about. An avid fan of music and sports, Keeley could often be found cheering for her favorite athletes, especially in the world of professional wrestling.
Keeley is survived by her two brothers, Ryan (Jennifer) Ness of Wayzata, MN and Thad (Ann) Ness of Hobe Sound, FL; her nieces and nephews, Kenneth (Kelly), Rachel, Graham, and Kate; her two great-nephews, Kaleb and Elijah; her aunt, Dayna (Rick) Sorby; her uncle, Wade Kuehl; many cousins; and the staff and her roommates at CCRI.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Kenneth and Paulette Ness; her grandparents, Norman and Evelyn Ness and Harris and Evelyn Kuehl; and her aunts and uncles, Arlene (Leon) Tweeton, Delores (Roger) Gilbertson, Arnie (Janice) Ness and Todd Kuehl.
A Visitation for Keeley will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2026, followed by a Celebration of her life at 11:00 AM, in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead, MN. She will be laid to rest in North Immanuel Cemetery, Pelican Rapids, MN.
