(KNFL/KFGO) – Moorhead High School has produced some solid athletes over the years, especially in hockey. Sophomore defenseman, Kate Kosobud, who transferred from the University of Minnesota in 2025, was named the Breakthrough Player of the Year in her first year with the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs.
Kosobud played all 38 games this season, scoring 2 goals, and getting 8 assists, tallying up to 10 total points. She also had 40 blocks, leading to an average of more than one block a game. Kate Kosobud will be returning to Minnesota Duluth for her junior season.
