BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – Sen. Kevin Cramer is backing commissioner Michelle Turnberg for the next mayor of Fargo.
In a social media post, Cramer – a Bismarck resident – says that while he can’t vote for Turnberg, he does have a voice and says she is the right person to lead Fargo.
“She has the right background and record, the right skills, the right intellect, and more importantly, she has the right philosophy to lead a great city in a great direction,” Cramer says.
Cramer went on to call Turnberg a great talker and listener who is a strong leader with a big heart.
Turnberg is in her first term on the city commission. She is running against fellow commissioners Dave Piepkorn and Denise Kolpack, state Sen. Josh Boschee, and Fargo Human Rights chair Sekou Sirleaf.
There will be a mayoral debate Tuesday beginning at noon on 790 AM and 104.7 FM KFGO.
