MOORHEAD (KFGO/KVRR) – Kevin Campbell, a Clay County commissioner who has spent more than three decades in public service, says he will not seek reelection.
Campbell tells KVRR Local News that he will step down from the board when his term ends in December.
“I’m not getting any younger, it’s time for new blood,” the 72-year-old Campbell said
Campbell has been in public service for 35 years; 24 years as a Clay County Commissioner for District 4 and 11 years as an Oakport Township Supervisor.
On a social media post, Campbell wrote” I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to my family for their unwavering support and understanding of the dedication these roles demand. I would also like to thank the many years of support and encouragement many of you have provided.”
To my Commission colleagues, Clay County Administration and the entire County Team past and present, thank you for providing the excellent service you strive for to benefit our residents.”
