ELLIOTT, N.D. (KFGO) – The Highway Patrol has released the names of the adults involved in a UTV crash Friday evening 2.5 miles southwest of Elliott.
According to the Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Zachary Muralt of Lisbon was driving the side-by-side on a muddy and snow-covered minimum maintenance road when he lost control. The UTV went off the road. Muralt overcorrected the vehicle back onto the road and it rolled.
Muralt suffered serious injuries.
Chloe Muralt, 29, and Kaci Current, 20, were also injured. The Highway Patrol says Current’s injuries are serious.
Two male juveniles in the UTV also suffered injuries.
All five were taken to CHI Lisbon Health. Zachary Muralt was later flown to a Fargo hospital.
According to the Highway Patrol, Zachary Muralt is facing a charge of driving under the influence.
The Highway Patrol, Ransom County Sheriff’s Office, Lisbon Fire, Lisbon Ambulance, and Sanford AirMed responded to the scene.
