MOORHEAD (KFGO/KVRR) — A second woman involved in the March 2024 death of a toddler in Moorhead has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and will avoid going to trial.
Shiann Erickson, 24, and Rosa Garza were charged in the death of 3-year-old Eastyn Deronjic.
Police began investigating the death after a medical call for a child not breathing in the 1500 block of Belsly Boulevard on March 18, 2024. Autopsy results revealed the boy died from blunt force trauma.
Garza previously pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and is serving a 20-year prison sentence.
Erickson will be sentenced on May 20.
