Silver Alert for Alfred Odden (updated photos of pickup) ND Response
VALLEY CITY, N.D. (KFGO) – The Highway Patrol planned to use a plane Monday afternoon to search for a missing Wahpeton man.
A Silver Alert was issued last week for 73-year-old Alfred Odden. Odden, who has dementia, is considered vulnerable. Odden was last seen in Valley City on Thursday night.
Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind says Barnes and Stutsman Counties were the primary search areas. He says the weekend snow hampered the search.
Odden was seen on security video at Casey’s in Valley City at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. He made a call about 30 minutes later from Valley City.
Odden was believed to be driving a 1994 Ford F-150 pickup. The pickup is teal with a red topper.
Wahpeton Police Chief Matthew Anderson says tips from public which have been investigated have come from North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. Anyone with information on Odden or the pickup is asked to contact local law enforcement or Wahpeton police at 701-642-7777.
