WEST FARGO (KFGO) – The West Fargo Police Department says officers and firefighters searched the Sheyenne River Wednesday night after someone reported seeing a person standing on the bridge near the 2400 block of Sheyenne Street.
The call came in around 10:30 p.m. Officers responded within two minutes and did not see anyone on the bridge or in the water.
As a precautionary measure, crews began searching the river and river banks using rescue boats, a drone, and a K-9. After about two hours, the search was called off.
The department says no one has been reported missing and no one has been found related to the search, but the investigation is still ongoing.
Valley Water Rescue, Sanford Ambulance, West Fargo Rural Fire, and Southern Valley Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene.
