FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) — Dr. Marshall Stewart, the first of the three finalists for the next president of North Dakota State University, visited the campus Monday.
Stewart is executive vice president for external engagement at Kansas State University.
The hour-long session included a presentation, time for audience questions, and time for people to meet Stewart personally.
During the presentation, Stewart gave an overview of his background and his priorities if chosen to become the next president of NDSU.
“We’ve also got massive things happening in athletics and other things we’ve got to keep our eyes on but the bottom line every day we got to get equal to or more students on this campus we have to, that’s got to be the ultimate,” said Stewart.
The other two finalists, Dr. Bernie Savarese and Dr. Alan Smith will visit the campus Tuesday and Wednesday.
The State Board of Higher Education plans to conduct final interviews and announce the next president next Monday.
Rick Berg has been serving as interim president after the departure of David Cook who became president of Iowa State University.
