FORADA, Minn. (KFGO) – Several agencies responded to a fire in Douglas County on Thursday afternoon.
The Forada Fire Department was dispatched to a garage fire at 9620 Childs Lake Rd SE, about 10 miles south of Alexandria, just before 4:30 p.m.
Douglas County deputies were the first on scene and say a detached garage was engulfed in flames.
The fire started to spread to a nearby building and into the woods.
The Alexandria Fire Department was called to help the Forada Fire Department extinguish the fire.
North Ambulance and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources also responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation, but officials say it is not believed to be suspicious.
