FARGO (KFGO) – A man armed with a bat in downtown Fargo was arrested after a standoff with police and Red River Valley SWAT.
Police say 59-year-old Dennis Christensen of Fargo was arrested for terrorizing and an unrelated warrant.
They responded to the 100 block of Roberts Street North just before 3 p.m. Tuesday on a report of an agitated man with a baseball bat hitting walls and making threats.
Police were able to identify the man as Christensen and due to his criminal history, SWAT was called to assist after he refused to come out of his home.
SWAT breached the door and arrested Christensen without incident around 5:30 p.m. He was taken to Cass County Jail.
