Explosion heard in Homs caused by old missile, state media and sources say

DAMASCUS, March 13 (Reuters) – An explosion was ​heard and ‌plumes of smoke were seen rising on ‌Friday ​from ⁠eastern neighborhoods ⁠of Syria’s central province of Homs, state ​media reported.

The explosion ⁠was caused ⁠by an ​old missile ​in an abandoned military ‌barracks that was mishandled, a ⁠security source and a witness in ⁠the ‌area told ⁠Reuters. No ​casualties ‌were reported.
