ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Mankato man on probation for assaulting a Minnesota state trooper in Byron is back in jail accused of threatening to kill his probation officer.
Olmsted County prosecutors say 29-year-old Cory Spiess is being held without bail after the alleged threat was made earlier this month.
According to a criminal complaint, Spiess was being booked into the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center on March 5 when a detention deputy reported hearing him say he was going to get a gun and shoot his probation officer in the face.
Spiess is now facing a new felony count of making terroristic threats.
