Sergeant Cody Siebert and K9 Tac
HOYT LAKES, Minn. (KFGO) – The East Range Police Department in northeastern Minnesota is mourning the loss of one of its officers.
Officials say Sergeant Cody Siebert died unexpectedly on Friday, less than 24 hours after being diagnosed with a brain infection.
The police department said in a post, “The hole left by Sgt Siebert’s passing will be impossible to fill.”
Siebert started the K9 program in Babbitt before moving to East Range with K9 Taconite.
Siebert leaves behind a partner and two young sons. A GoFundMe page has been established for his family.
