FARGO (KFGO) – The Fargo Police Department has identified the man found dead in a burning vehicle earlier this week. He was 68-year-old Fargo resident Stephen Hanson.
The Fargo Fire and Police Departments are conducting a joint investigation into the vehicle fire that was reported shortly before 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of 28th Avenue North. That’s just east of University Drive and north of the Fargodome.
Hanson was found dead inside the vehicle. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
Investigators say, based on initial observations at the scene, the death does not appear to be suspicious.
