Leo Dartoe (Cass County Jail)
FARGO (KFGO) – The jury trial starts Tuesday for a man accused of shooting and killing another man in south Fargo in August 2024.
Leo Dartoe is charged with murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm related to the death of 35-year-old Sampson Bleh.
Dartoe has pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Prosecutors say Dartoe shot Bleh in the chest at an apartment in the 2200 block of 12th Avenue South on Aug. 23, 2024.
Bleh died at a fargo hospital the next day.
Dartoe was arrested in Georgia two months later and extradited back to North Dakota.

Another man, Geettoe Kamara, was charged with being an accomplice to murder, but that charge was later dismissed.
Police found nearly 350 fentanyl pills in Kamara’s pockets. He was found guilty of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and sentenced to more than two years in prison.
