BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – Law enforcement across North Dakota issued 129 drinking or drug-related arrests and citations during the latest Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign.
It ran from December 12 through New Year’s Eve. 80 DUI arrests were made. There were six citations given to minors for drinking or having alcohol and 15 open container violations along with nine drug arrests and various other violations.
In 2024, the North Dakota DOT Highway Safety Division says there was a drinking-related crash about every 14 hours. The campaign is part of the state’s Vision Zero program.
