MOORHEAD (KFGO-KVRR) — The Moorhead City Council is close to making a decision on a new housing shelter for young adults.
The shelter was recommended to be built by Youthworks, a non-profit dedicated to helping homeless and housing-challenged young adults under the age of 22 with housing and other needs.
The Moorhead Planning Commission approved of the shelter that would be located at 502 and 512 3rd Ave S.
It would provide a space for young adults with housing and other support services.
The council will discuss the shelter Monday.
