Freeze Out for the Fisher House
FARGO (KFGO) – Local veterans are braving the cold on Friday and Saturday to bring future warmth to veterans and their families.
Freeze Out for the Fisher House is happening in the parking lot at West Acres Shopping Center on Feb. 6 and 7. Veterans are sleeping outside for 48 hours to raise awareness and money for construction of Fisher House North Dakota.
Community members are invited to drive by, visit with the veterans over coffee and cookies, and donate to support the Fisher House.
Fisher House North Dakota will be a 16-suite facility near the Fargo VA Hospital, offering free lodging to military and veteran families while they are receiving medical care.
