KILLDEER, N.D. (KFGO) – Two truck drivers are dead after a head-on crash in western North Dakota Thursday morning.
The crash happened on State Highway 22 about 17 miles north of Killdeer.
The Highway Patrol says a 57-year-old Watford City man was driving a semi south when the truck crossed the centerline in a curve in the road. The truck crashed into a northbound semi driven by a 51-year-old Dickinson man. Both men died at the scene.
Both semi trailers were carrying production water. The Highway Patrol says a small amount of the water was released onto the highway.
The crash happened around 5:45 a.m. and the highway was closed until 3 p.m..
