CROOKSTON, Minn. (KFGO) – The Polk County Sheriff is retiring.
Jim Tadman says he will not seek re-election.
Tadman started with the Sheriff’s Office as an intern. After that, he worked undercover for the Polk/Norman County Drug Task Force before moving on to a number of other assignments within the Sheriff’s Office.
Tadman says serving the county has been a gift and privilege. His term expires next January.
In the meantime, he says his focus is ensuring a smooth and responsible transition of leadership while continuing to provide high quality public service during the remainder of his term.
When he retires, Tadman will have served the office for 38 years.
