Future manufacturing and distribution facility for Sandy's Donuts at 1914 4th Avenue NW in West Fargo, ND.
WEST FARGO. N.D. (KFGO) – Sandy’s Donuts is planning to open a new facility focused on making more donuts to meet increased demand in the region.
The company’s owner says he is purchasing a building at 1914 4th Avenue NW in West Fargo. The building was formerly used by Air Mechanical, which is closing.
The location is currently 11,300-square-feet and Sandy’s plans to build a 3,000-square-foot addition.
Sandy’s says the goal is to improve efficiency and make more donuts by opening a manufacturing and distribution center.
The company says it won’t necessarily create more jobs, but there could be a handful of additional full-time positions.
West Fargo’s Director of Economic Development, Casey Sanders-Berglund, says there is not a direct sales taxes benefit for the City of West Fargo, however with locations in West Fargo and vendors across the region, some sales tax benefits could be seen with an increased volume of product being sold.
The West Fargo City Commission voted to approve a five-year Payment In Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) incentive for Sandy’s Donuts, which keeps the property tax for the new location at the current level of $16,944.
