ORR, Minn. (KFGO) – Authorities in northeastern Minnesota are investigating a deadly snowmobile crash on the Arrowhead Trail near Orr.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call Tuesday) afternoon that two snowmobiles collided and one of the drivers was thrown from his snowmobile and unresponsive.
First responders tried to save the 57-year-old man, but he died at the scene.
Investigators say the snowmobiles were going opposite directions and both entered a curve in the trail when they side-swiped each other.
The driver of the other snowmobile wasn’t hurt.
