ELK RIVER, Minn. – Prosecutors in Sherburne County are seeking more information about the man accused of abducting a seven-year-old girl in Zimmerman in central Minnesota.
Joseph Bragg, 28, of Maple Grove, who has also lived in International Falls, is charged with kidnapping and sexual assault. The girl was found in a pickup driven by Bragg in Albert Lea near the Iowa border hours after she disappeared from outside her home. A statewide AMBER Alert was issued during the search for the girl.
Investigators say he communicated with parents on social media offering to provide nanny or daycare services. Anyone who hired Bragg to watch their children is asked to contact the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension through a tip line at 651-793-2465.
