FARGO (KFGO) – The Fargo Police Department says one man was seriously injured in a stabbing Saturday afternoon in downtown Fargo. The incident happened just before 12:15 p.m. at the Bismarck Tavern in the 500 block of Broadway North.

When officers arrived on scene they found a man claiming he had been stabbed by another man. Police say the two men got into a physical altercation that led to the stabbing. The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Police say a person of interest in the stabbing was detained, but no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
