BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) — Bismarck Police are looking for a woman who they say is a person of interest in a fatal stabbing.
Police say officers responded to an apartment in the 1000 block of Porter Avenue around 8 p.m. Friday. John Leier, 51, was found with a stab wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Two women were seen on security footage leaving the apartment after the stabbing . One of the women has been located. Police are asking for the public’s help locating the second woman. She’s described as 5’2″-5’8″ tall, small in statue, wearing faded jeans, patterned sweater, hooded jacket, scarf and boots.
Investigators believe the stabbing was targeted, and say there is no known threat to the public. Anyone with information is asked to contact Bismarck Police.
