PARK RAPIDS, Minn. (KFGO) – An elderly woman from Nevis is dead after a head-on crash Tuesday afternoon.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened just after noon on Highway 34 east of Park Rapids.
Troopers say 80-year-old Nancy Bamlet was driving east when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with a pickup that was going west. Bamlet died from her injuries.
The driver of the pickup, 85-year-old Noel Sletten of Park Rapids, was taken to a Fargo hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, Park Rapids Fire Department and North Memorial Health Ambulance assisted at the scene.
