LAPORTE, Minn. (KFGO) – The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a crash that they say appears to be intentional.
A Ford F250 truck was going north on Highway 200 near Laporte in Hubbard County on Sunday afternoon. A Chevy truck was going south on Highway 200. The crash report says the Ford intentionally entered the southbound lane.
Troopers say the Chevy moved into the northbound lane to avoid the other truck, but as the vehicles approached each other, the Ford re-entered the northbound lane and the two trucks crashed.
19-year-old Waylon Stmarie was driving the Ford with two passengers inside, ages 18 and 16. All three in that truck have non life-threatening injuries.
19-year-old Deacon Forseman was driving the Chevy and had an 18-year-old passenger. Troopers say Forseman has non life-threatening injuries and the passenger was not hurt.
The State Patrol responded along with the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, Laporte Fire Department and North Memorial Ambulance.
