North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has issued a cease-and-desist order against Reddington Group, Inc.; Flaxsun, doing business as Flaxsun, Inc.
The order prohibits Kent Duane Anderson and Austin Anderson from all grain buyer activities. An investigation revealed that the named entities and individuals were attempting to make purchases from North Dakota grain elevators.
“These entities and individuals have never been licensed in North Dakota and have not pursued licensing,” Goehring said.
On its grain licensing website, the Department of Agriculture noted, “Flaxsun Holdings Inc. of Hannaford, ND, has no connection to the above and is a legitimate grain buyer.”
State law requires that grain warehouses and grain buyers be licensed and bonded. The Licensing Division oversees the licensing and bonding of all grain warehouses, facility-based grain processors and brokers and roving grain buyers.
Regulation of these entities is intended to protect the people who sell grain to, or store grain in, the warehouses and is enforced within a framework that minimizes negative economic impacts on related industries and individual entities.
