What The Heck Are We Eating?
McDonald’s iconic McRib is at the center of a class-action lawsuit, in which plaintiffs claim the sandwich is misleading to consumers since it doesn’t contain rib meat. (McDonald’s says the suit “distorts the facts.”)
We couldn’t find a whole lot on the story other than this is what you’re eating when you order a McRib thanks to Google
“The McDonald’s McRib patty does not contain actual pork rib meat; it’s a reconstructed pork patty made from ground-up lower-grade pork products (shoulder, heart, tripe, stomach), shaped to resemble ribs, leading to a recent lawsuit alleging misleading marketing, though McDonald’s maintains it uses 100% pork and is transparent about ingredients.”
NOW will you keep eating it?
