Attempted robbery suspect (Grand Forks Police Department)
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – The Grand Forks Police Department is looking for a man who they say tried to rob a smoke shop on South Washington Street.
Police responded just after 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 17 after a man entered Discontent holding an envelope and wearing a mask.
The person handed an employee the envelope, which had a note inside demanding money and claiming that he was armed. Police say the man left the store quickly after handing over the envelope and did not receive any money.
Police believe the suspect went east after leaving the business . Officers used a drone and K9 to try to locate the suspect, but did not find him.
Police say the suspect is believed to be a Caucasian man who was wearing sunglasses, a green and white sweatshirt, and a mask covering his face.
