Bonnie Kasin, 90, of Fargo, formerly of West Fargo, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Bethany on University in Fargo.
Bonnie Bess Colvin was born on November 29, 1934, in Shreveport, LA, to Rome and Esca (Horton) Colvin. She was raised in Monroe, LA, and after graduating from high school, she enlisted in the U.S. Army. She was stationed in Alexandria, VA, where she met her future husband, Ivan Kasin. They were married in Alexandria on September 20, 1955, before their honorary discharges, after which they moved to Moorhead, MN, Spokane, WA, Bakersfield, CA, and finally, West Fargo, ND. Bonnie was a homemaker and worked various part-time jobs after her children were grown. She loved bingo and spending time with her grandchildren. Ivan passed away on March 11, 2012, and Bonnie moved to Bethany in Fargo in 2022.
Bonnie is survived by three children, Charles (Roxanne) Kasin, Kevin (Shannon) Kasin, and Kreig Kasin; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, Roger Colvin and Letha Cooper; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rome and Esca Colvin; her husband, Ivan Kasin; a son, Curtiss Kasin; a daughter, Karen Kasin; and siblings, Allen Colvin and LaRee Jones.
Memorial Service: Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Interment at a Later Date: Fargo National Cemetery, rural Harwood, ND.
