BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota Department of Commerce has announced the recipients of the 2025 Tourism and Community Enhancement Grants.
The grants are designed to enhance tourism, strengthen community infrastructure and preserve historic landmarks across the state.
The Ellendale Opera House was awarded $250,000 for restoration of the pre-1930 opera house that once served as a community entertainment hub.
The Fargo Theatre is getting $500,000 for restoration. It was built before 1930 and remains active in public programming.
The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation was awarded $1 million for development and operation of a public transportation system in Medora.
The grants are funded by the 69th Legislative Assembly and funding is available during the current biennium: July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027.
