MSP International Airport
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KFGO/Learfield) – Wednesday is expected to be the busiest day before Thanksgiving at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, and there could be flight delays and cancellations.
Airport spokesman Jeff Lea says nearly 47,000 people will likely clear the security checkpoints. Lea says be sure to check with your airline before arriving at the airport.
“That’s not even counting our connecting travelers and those who are arriving, but it’s a gauge of how busy are lobbies are going to be. Even before you reach the front door you may encounter some busy roadways and then certainly trying to find parking if you’re coming in from a long way,” Lea said.
Around 49,000 travelers are expected on return flights Sunday at MSP.
