RAPID CITY, S.D. (KFGO/KWAT) – It looks like South Dakota Gov. Larry Rhoden will run for the office in next year’s election.
Rhoden will be in Rapid City Tuesday to make what’s being called a “special announcement.”
South Dakota’s 34th governor was appointed to the job in January following Kristi Noem’s resignation. Rhoden joins a crowded field in the Republican primary.
Others running for the job are Aberdeen businessman Toby Doeden, House Speaker Jon Hansen and Congressman Dusty Johnson.
