AUSTIN, Minn. (KFGO) – Hormel Foods is eliminating 250 positions as part of a broader restructuring.
The Austin, Minnesota-based food processing company says the cuts will affect corporate and sales roles through a combination of layoffs, voluntary early retirements, and by leaving open positions unfilled.
The company says it is reallocating resources to focus on technology, innovation, food safety, and product quality. There were signs that job reductions were possible after Hormel lowered its earnings outlook for the second time this year.
