Art Eberhardt, 70, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. He was born April 10, 1955 to Arthur and Thelma (Rinas) Eberhardt in West Fargo, ND. His summers were spent at his uncle’s farm in South Dakota, time he often spoke of fondly.
After graduating from WFHS in 1973, he enlisted in the US Air Force. He married Vicki Almer in 1976. They traveled together as he served his country. While serving, they welcomed their first daughter. Within the decade their only son and another daughter were born and their family was complete
Art worked for Swingen’s Construction, helped build First Assembly of God in Fargo where he served on the board and taught Sunday School. Eventually he worked for and retired from the USPS. He later moved to Branson, MO and Haslet, TX where he currently resided.
Art’s unwavering faith in God was the cornerstone of his life. It was this faith that he instilled in his children and grandchildren and boldly led his family with. He dedicated his life to provide for, protect, and care for his family and he did it so very well. He was married to the love of his life, Vicki, for over 49 years. He retired early and they spent 18 years enjoying the life they built together. He welcomed and loved all his children’s spouses and loved them as his own. His favorite role in life was that of grandpa to his 6 grandkids.
He enjoyed time at the ball fields with his oldest grandsons, visiting his granddaughter in Iowa and playing with the youngest boys. He enjoyed traveling, where he often found himself at Silver Dollar City in Branson, golf and driving around to enjoy local wildlife.
Art was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Thelma, parents-in-law, Melvin and Adeline Almer, 4 brothers-in-law, a niece, and other extended family.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki, children: Danielle (Benjamin) Barron, of Jefferson Iowa, Christopher (Sara) Eberhardt, of Alvord, Texas, and Brittany (Zach) Barnes, of Fort Worth, Texas. His grandchildren: Graeson, Everhett, Victoria, Allistair, Isaac and Nathaniel; siblings: Debbie (Gary) Globstad, Danny (Terry) Eberhardt, and Nancy Freiss. He is also survived by many extended family members whom he loved.
Art was loved deeply and will be missed tremendously by his loved ones, but his legacy of faith will live on through them and they know they will see him again someday.
