Argentina pulled every tax they had on soybeans, and it worked. It worked because of Donald Trump, and now China bought 20 vessels at the reduced price. Not only did his tariffs stop China from trading with the U.S., but they bought from someone else at a higher price.
How could Argentina afford to do this you may ask? Well, let me tell you. They did it with American tax-payer dollars after Donald Trump gave them $20 billion. No doubt because Javier Milei, the President of Argentina, blew sunshine up his you-know-what.
America got played. Not only are we out $20 billion for a compliment from Argentina, but most importantly, America’s farmers lost a buyer. A buyer that not only found a way to get soybeans for a better deal, but a buyer that has found a new and reliable friend.

Freedom of speech won this week, and it was because of you. Jimmy Kimmel is back on-air after being pulled by Disney. But for now, Disney put him back on his evening show.
Many of us thought that Kimmel had been fired, but that wasn’t the case. Disney had suspended him indefinitely. They put him in purgatory waiting to see if he was going up or down. This all happened because of a joke. A joke that was either terribly inappropriate or terribly-timed.
Either way, it empowered those that hate Kimmel. The most powerful of which is Donald Trump. Brendan Carr, his Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), did everything he was instructed to do to get him off the air. His threats almost ended Kimmel’s and his staff’s careers. Carr did all of this the “easy way” by threatening Disney’s license to be on-air. And at least for awhile, Disney went along with it. Because, like many in broadcasting, Disney wants to expand or sell to someone that does. And in order to do that, they need deregulation., which is what Carr threatened the most.
The good news for now is that the First Amendment won. Enough Americans demanded freedom of speech and demanded Kimmel be put back on-air. Whether it be the people dropping their subscription or the people protesting in the streets, Disney listened.
Good riding with you,
Joel
