DILWORTH, Minn. (KFGO) – BNSF Railway says 14 rail cars derailed in Dilworth around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
BNSF Executive Director of Public Affairs Lydia Underdahl says 13 of the cars were empty auto racks and one was a tank car carrying fuel oil. The tank car was not compromised and no injuries occurred. The derailment caused the public crossing on Main Avenue to close while crews worked to clear up the derailment.
The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
